About this months pattern:

The Doris Dress Pattern is a fun and fashionable doll dress featuring a curved empire waist. The front seam is cinched with hidden elastic, creating a soft, playful puckering on the bodice and skirt. The elastic is sandwiched between the main fabric and lining, ensuring a smooth, stylish finish with gentle shaping.

Designed with a scoop neckline, puff cap sleeves, and an A-line skirt in short or mid-length options, this dress is fully lined for a beautiful finish. A Velcro back closure makes dressing easy.

This pattern includes variations for a sleeveless version and a sheer overlay, allowing for customizable styles. Made for woven fabrics, the Doris Dress shines in quilting cotton, satin, or silky prints—perfect for both playful, casual looks and more dressed-up outfits.

If you are looking for a way to learn new techniques and get new patterns, you have found the place. Anna does an awesome job designing her patterns. She incorporates new ways of sewing things together. I have been sewing for 64 years and I learn something new every month. Besides the patterns, Anna does a Workshop Zoom meeting, where we can sew along with her. The workshop is a great way to figure techniques out, if you are having a little trouble. And it is a great way to get to know Anna and the other members of the group. You can’t go wrong by joining the group!
