About the Addy Gown Pattern

The Addy Gown is elegance and grace. The fullness of the tulle skirt contrasts perfectly with the beautifully shaped Bodice that tapers at the waist.  The tulle skirt touches the floor for that dramatic formal length.  The bodice was designed without a separate sleeve to accommodate the use of specialty fabrics.  Whether you use coordinating fabric from the specialty fabric section or upcycle from a girl’s dress, this pattern will make a stunning gown!

This doll clothes pattern is for 18 inch dolls.  It is fitted to dolls with the waist measurements of 10 1/2″-11″.

Materials and Supplies:

Addy Gown

• Lightweight to medium weight specialty fabric like satin, velvet, speciality fabrics with knit or woven backing – 1/4 yard
• Lightweight lining material- 1/3 yard
•  Tulle- 1 yard
• ¾” wide Snag Free Velcro -5″ long (This type is recommended because of the tulle on the dress.)
• ¼” wide Wonder Tape (used for Velcro placement.)
• Disappearing ink marking pen
• Coordinating thread
• Basic sewing supplies (Pins, scissors, pinking shears, iron, Universal sewing machine needle and a sewing machine.)
• Pattern cutting supplies (28 mm and 18 mm rotary cutters, cutting mat, pattern weights)

Creta Gown

• Main fabric for bodice-Lightweight to medium weight woven fabric-1/4 yard
• Overlay fabric for skirt- Lightweight to medium weight woven fabric-1/2 yard
• Lining fabric for Bodice, Skirt Lining and optional Shoulder Bow-Lightweight weight woven- 1/2 yard
• ¾” wide Soft and Flexible Velcro -5″ long
• ¼” wide Wonder Tape (Used for Velcro placement.)
• Hand stitching needle
• 1/2″ ribbon for turning bodice right side out- 13″ long
• Optional Variation: 1/4″ ribbon for turning shoulder bow right side out- 24″ long
• Optional Variation: 1/2″ ribbon for shoulders- 27″ long
• Safety pin for turning garment right side out
• Disappearing ink marking pen
• Coordinating thread
• Basic sewing supplies (Pins, scissors, pinking shears, iron, seam ripper, Ball Point sewing machine needle and a sewing machine.)
• Pattern cutting supplies (28 mm and 18 mm rotary cutters, cutting mat, pattern weights)
