This doll clothes pattern is for 18 inch dolls. It is fitted to dolls with the waist measurements of 10 1/2″-11″.
Materials and Supplies:
Fabric Type
- Lightweight to medium weight knit fabrics such as Jersey knits and other knits with at least a 2-way stretch.
Fabric Amount
- Long dress with three skirt layers -1 yard (45″ wide) or 3/4 yard (60″ wide).
- Optional variation- Short dress with one skirt layer- 1/2 yard (45″ or 60″ wide).
Supplies
- Soft Velcro-4″ (Or use Snag-Free Velcro for delicate knits.)
- 1/4-1/2″ wide ribbon- 13″ long
- 1/4″ wide Wonder tape (optional)
- Coordinating all-purpose sewing thread
- Ball point sewing machine needle.

Love love love this pattern! I love the versatility; you can use many different knits, and you can create several different styles by adding or subtracting ruffle layers. I have made so many of these dresses that I have lost count! Everyone who sees them loves them. I highly encourage sewists to get this pattern. Lots of helpful instructions take the stress out of sewing with knits.
