Dorma Overall Dress Pattern

The Dorma Overall Dress Pattern is playful and stylish.  It features a simple A-line silhouette. The bodice is fully lined.  The overall straps are connected to the bodice for a tidy look.  Add a pocket and buttons to the front for cute details.  A Velcro closure is in the back for easy on and off.  Sew it with a woven or a knit fabric.

The red shirt is sewn using the Beulah Sweater Dress Pattern cut on the shirt hemline. It is available in the shop if you are looking for a shirt to layer under the dress.  The white shirt is sewn from the Heart Top Pattern availble in my book of patterns, My Doll, My Style.

This doll clothes pattern is for 18 inch dolls.  It is fitted to dolls with the waist measurements of 10 1/2″-11″.

MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES

  • Fabric-Lightweight to medium weight woven fabric or knit fabric-1/4 yard
  • ¾” wide Soft and Flexible Velcro -2″ long
  • ¼” wide Wonder Tape (Used for Velcro placement.)
  • 1/2” Buttons- 4 (Optional)
  • Hand stitching needle
  • 3/8” ribbon to turn Overall Straps right side out- 10″ long
  • Safety pin for turning garment right side out
  • Disappearing ink marking pen
  • Coordinating thread
  • Basic sewing supplies (Pins, scissors, pinking shears, iron, seam ripper, Ball Point sewing machine needle and a sewing machine.)
  • Pattern cutting supplies (28 mm and 18 mm rotary cutters, cutting mat, pattern weights)
