The Samantha Swimsuit transports you to summer year round! It has an asymmetrical design with a ruffle across one shoulder and a strap on the other. The ruffle wraps around the front to back.  The swimsuit calls for a high stretch fabric so you can put it on with no closures. The accompanying Sewing Guide is full of tips for sewing with knits and detailed instructions for sewing on elastic.  Sew this fun summery pattern!

This doll clothes pattern is for 18 inch dolls.  It is fitted to dolls with the waist measurements of 10 1/2″-11″.

Materials and Supplies

  • Main Fabric-Knit fabric with 4 way stretch-1/4 yard
  • 1/4″ Elastic- 1 yard
  • Safety pin
  • Disappearing ink marking pen
  • Coordinating thread
  • Basic sewing supplies (Pins, scissors, pinking shears, iron, seam ripper, ball point sewing machine needle and a sewing machine.)
  • Pattern cutting supplies (28 mm and 18 mm rotary cutters, cutting mat, pattern weights)
