Last week we took a close-up look at this lovely doll, the So Truly Mine baby doll from Ashton-Drake.  Today she has joined the other baby dolls in the house for a little side by side comparison!

From left to right, Bitty Baby (American Girl), So Truly Mine baby doll (Ashton-Drake) and Bitty Twin (American Girl).

These three dolls are all 15″ dolls and have similar builds.  Since we already have a small collection of 15″ doll clothes I thought it would be cool to see if they can share clothes!

Here is the So Truly Mine baby doll in the Little Lady Dress from American Girl.

The dress fits nicely with both the length and width.

The So Truly Mine baby doll has a larger head then the other two 15″ American Girl baby dolls.  The stretchy knit hat still fits nicely.

This baby doll has feet that are slightly longer then the American Girl dolls but her feet are flexible.  Surprisingly, I was able to squeeze the shoes on pretty easily!

Next up is the Gingham Party Dress from American Girl.

The dress has a couple different features from the previous dress.  First, it is made of cotton and that means it is non-stretchy.  I wanted to see how the cotton dress fitted this doll.  The dress fit perfectly.  On the other hand because her head is a little larger, the hat did not fit.

The other different feature is that it is sleeveless.  All of the dolls have fabric bodies and this style worked just as well on this doll.

Again the shoes fit great.

Lastly, I tried the Cozy Playdress from American Girl. This dress is more fitted. This dress is a sweater knit that is more fitted through the skirt.

The differences are the wider neckline and the narrow skirt line.

You can see her fabric neckline peeking out.  I don’t mind the peek of fabric and think it looks fine.

As for the narrow skirt line you can slightly see the top of the baby legs through the dress.

There is still plenty of room to move the baby around while in the dress.

She sits well in it.

The tights also fit well.

The baby doll is a little wider then the American Girl dolls at the top of the thighs.  The tights still fit well as you pull them up.

The dress is cute through the neck, shoulder and sleeves.

I am amazed and pleased with how well they share clothes.  One thing I need to still try is the Bitty Twin pants on the So Truly Mine doll.

I guess I’ll have to let you know about that one!
