The Journal Pattern is a fun and versatile project with endless possibilities! Sew the outer cover with a variety of fabrics—woven, knit, or something bold like faux fur or sequins for an eye-catching effect. Add your personal touch with fabric appliqués, and a contrasting lining inside for a fun pop of color. The sewn-in stabilizer keeps the journal in shape, no matter your fabric choice. The hand-stitched pages and elastic closure keep everything secure, and you can even embellish the closure with buttons or beads.
There’s an option to add a strap so your doll can ‘hold’ the journal, and several closure options are included for you to choose from. It’s the perfect project for using fabric scraps or experimenting with specialty materials, making each journal one-of-a-kind. Don’t worry, this pattern is designed to be doable and fun for all skill levels, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. You’ve got this!
