Shiny bows all around!

We have been collecting cute little hair bows since that fateful day last fall when my daughter (then 5 years old) gave herself a pixie cut.  💇 🤦‍♀️

Well, it was half a pixie cut and the hairdresser performed amazing damage control to complete the look.  Miracle workers were at Great Clips that Saturday night! They creatively took on the haircut and sweetly counseled my daughter that she could be a beautician someday if she liked to cut hair.

There was one condition though, beauticians never cut their own hair.  She pinky promised to never cut hers again.  Phew, that pinky promise has held so far!

Small hair bows got us through the first couple of months of her super short, uneven-in-places hair. With a little bow, it was hardly noticeable.  Now her hair has grown out quite a bit and we are still loving little bows.❤️  They are here to stay!

The Sequin Hair Bow

With all the bows we’ve been making and enjoying I decided to create a pattern and instructions so you can make some too!   With the Sequin Hair Bow pattern you can make fun sparkly bows for all occasions, both for girls to wear everyday and for doll play.  If you sew doll clothes, this little accessory will pair with a dress or a casual outfit.  It is a quick, no-sew project and you will get great results with the detailed instructions.
