Not Your Ordinary Haircut

So I’ve been working on something for a few years.  Well,  5+ years to be more exact.  It’s a slow process and you just can’t speed these things up!

Finally the day came.  I found a buyer of unusually long hair.  The money was deposited and it was time to mail the purchase.

We made it official.  Out came the measuring tape one last time.

The goal was reached.

A quick braid and snip, snip, snip, it was over.IMG_2419

Brace yourselves we aren’t done yet!  I know I had to! IMG_2422

Hmm, now what?

An A-line seemed to make the most sense.IMG_2704

Today I had a hair cut.  But it’s not the end.  Today also marks new beginnings.  It’s the beginning of a journey that is slow but inch by inch I’ll get there.

Over time I’ll grow some more longish hair.  Just because.  Not for buyers.  Just for me.  No more goals.  No more numbers.  Just pony tails, and braids and updo’s.

It was a fun journey and for now I’m going to enjoy my new do!

And just for fun I thought I’d include some FAQ:

  • Will you miss your hair?  Hair grows!
  • How did you sell your hair?  I listed my hair on a website for selling hair and found a buyer online.
  • How much did you make?  $1000+
  • What are you going to buy with the money you made?  I‘d like to get a few camera related things because I love taking pictures!
  • How much hair did you sell?  32+ inches
  • What do hair buyers look for?  Virgin hair- meaning no chemical treatments like color or perms.  The healthier the better- avoid blow dryers and curling irons.  The longer it is the quicker the price goes up!
