Today we are taking a close up look at Grace Thomas. At the end after you’ve looked at all the details be sure to leave a comment sharing what you think of Grace!
I want to give you heads up, this is such a detailed post I decided to split it up into two segments. Today we will look at Grace’s features, her meet outfit and the option of having her ears pierced. Tomorrow will be all about her hair!
If you have not seen Grace in person, I’m sharing this for you! Grace is the newest doll sold by American Girl and only here for one year because she is the Girl of the Year for 2015.
Maybe you are curious about this new doll from American Girl or maybe you are thinking about adding her to your collection. Either way, after we’ve taken a closer look at her today I want you to feel like you’ve held her in your hands and seen her in person!
Here is quick overview.

Little Details
The day Grace came in the mail I took some close ups of her features but I wanted to take her out for a photoshoot to share great photos that capture all the details about her!
Grace has lovely bright blue eyes. I love her eye color with her hair.
Here she is with her sleep eyes closed.
Grace has a sprinkling of freckles across her nose and cheeks.
Her eyebrows are feathered.
Meet Outfit
Grace comes in a pink skirt, Paris shirt, pink underwear (not pictured), ankle boots and a charm bracelet.
She has an adorable bow on her skirt that you don’t want to cover up with the bottom of her shirt. At first I tried tucking in her shirt and then tried just tucking the front edge behind the bow.
The words and stripes have a sparkle to them.
Her clothing and charm bracelet all have her name on it.
The skirt has a little texture and feels like flannel. I hope it doesn’t wear out and ball up easily! The front waistband has a few gathers in the front of the skirt. The bow on the skirt is faux leather.
The back of the skirt has elastic in the waistband. The Grace tag is on the right back side of her skirt.
Her ankle boots are the best part of her outfit.
They are made of fabric and slip on. I love the color and the bow on the side.
Hinting at the story that comes with Grace, the charm bracelet is full of things that represent her trip to Paris, France.
There are 6 charms on the bracelet and it closes with a clasp that American Girl uses on some of their doll jewelry. Here it is open.
To close it, simply push the two sides together.
It is a little tricky to do and may be a little hard for a young child to do on their own.
Optional Earrings
These are the earrings Grace comes with, if you decide to have her ears pierced.
The doll arrives with a second pair of heart earrings.
Her light blue bow earrings continue the bow theme of her outfit.
The Eiffel tower earrings are dangles and need post earrings to wear them. They are great to go along with her story.
I hope this close up look at Grace has been helpful for any that have not had a chance to see Grace in person! I know I enjoy seeing different dolls and learning about them. I wanted this detailed photoshoot to give you a thorough look at her, so it feels like you’ve held her in your own hands!
Tomorrow we will take a closeup look at her hair! She has a unique wig and I can’t wait to share details about it.

Now go play with dolls! 🙂

This is the nicest photo shoot of Grace I have seen yet. I think she is such a beautiful doll and has made her way onto my wish list. She may even have that golden spot of being my first ever AG doll (at age 35!) 😉 Beautiful photos-great review!

I just got grace on opening day of the AG Nashville store!!!!!!! I love her so much. Thought it is hard to get
The braclet on! Can you give me some tips and tricks to get it on? Thanks
TAYLOR
Anna says
Congrats Taylor! Yes I know what you mean about the bracelet being hard to put on! I finally figured out an easier way. If you hold each end and push them together, it is so much easier. Hope that makes sense, good luck!
