Kitchen Canisters For Your AG Doll

This weekend I had time to brainstorm and start working on a few more items for the doll size kitchen.  I have several fun crafts in the works and today I am sharing a fun baking accessory!

These decorative canisters hold flour, sugar, salt and any other ingredient you need.

Make these canisters in your favorite color combination or even use patterned paper for a fun look!

Here’s what you’ll need to make doll size kitchen canisters.

Supplies:

  • empty spools of thread
  • card stock paper in 2 colors
  • beads
  • labels (I made mine on PicMonkey)
  • glue

Let’s get started!

Cut the colored card stock to fit around the side of the spool.

Trace the end of the spool on black or white card stock and cut out the circle.Flour canisters for a doll kitchen-2

Glue the paper around the side of the spool.Flour canisters for a doll kitchen-3

Now to add the lid to the canister!

Glue the circle to the top of the spool.  Add a bead to complete the lid.

Our lid doesn’t open and close, it is purely decorative.  If you really wanted it to open and close you could glue a circle of white paper on the end of the spool. Glue a bead to the black circle to make the lid.  The “canister” isn’t hallow but lifting the lid on and off for play may be fun for some that enjoy accessories to be a little interactive.

Make a label for each canister on PicMonkey. (…or wait a day or two for the printable I have in the works to share with you!)Flour canisters for a doll kitchen-16

Grace is getting out a few ingredients to make cookies, flour, sugar, salt, and eggs.

I am hoping to be adding to her ingredients in a day or two with another fun baking accessory!

Until then I hope you enjoy crafting a few decorative kitchen canisters!

I just love this! Just when I thought there wasn’t another doll craft I could do! Thank you for your inspiration! I’ll look forward to the labels…

  2. So cute. Unfortunately I can’t find your labels. The site just takes me around and around. Can you direct me to where you posted the printable please? Thanks so very much! The girlies will love these!

    1. Linda, Thank you for letting me know the file is missing! I need to look for it, I’m on a different computer now. I will do a little research and add it! In the mean time, if you need it soon, they are pretty easy to make on the free photo editing website http://www.picmonkey.com. Hope that helps!

      1. Thanks Anna. I’ll wait for you to post as I am not real computer savvy! I have the spools ready though so will keep checking back for the lables when you are ready. Thanks so very much!

  3. I noticed a dozen eggs next to the canisters in one photo. I know they eggs are formed from clay, but what did you use for the carton? Thanks!

    1. Hi Cheryl, The egg carton is sold around Easter time with little bubble gum eggs in it. We are coming around to that time of year again!

  4. Hi Anna, These are adorable and I would love to make them. Do you have a link for the labels? Thank you!

    1. Sara, No printable yet! I am working behind the scenes to update this post with a printable. I will email you when it is available!
