This year we had a glittering doll size Christmas tree.
It was thanks to Mod Podge and sparkly glitter.
Most of the tree decorations were made from items I found on clearance after Christmas last year. To give them a new look I used this simple Washout for Kids Modge Podge. It went on everything in my stash, glass, plastic, fabric, styrofoam and paper. And do you know what? I worked great!
Scoop up mini plastic or glass bulbs on the clearance isle in any color.
Add your own color next year with a little glitter!
I even tried mini beads and the Mod Podge held them great!
These mini fabric bows are a cute shape, but kind of drab.
Now they are just fun!
These mini presents are styrofoam picks for flower arrangement. They were cheap, cheap, cheap last year, with after-holiday discounts.
I pulled out the pick, gave them a dip in glitter, wrapped them in new ribbon and stuck on a mini bow. Now they are full of fresh sparkle!
I loved how my random stash of clearance items…
…came together in a colorful glittering Christmas!
Did you notice the fun polka dot, and striped circles on the tree? They were a cinch to make and I think they pulled the whole look together. I’ll give you a closer peek at them soon so you can throw a few in your Christmas box for next year!
