Halloween Decorations

I am working on Halloween decorations for a few different spots in the dollhouse.  Today I want to share a few details about this entryway/living room table display.

It is a combination of a fun finds, customizing and creating.  Let’s take a closer look!

Fun Finds

First up is this little lamp.  I noticed Walmart had the Christmas decorations stocked already so I swung by and found this ornament.  I picked it up last week for under $2, so keep a look out in your local store if it interests you.  I love the size and shape.  It’s perfect for dolls!

I love the trim and bead details!

The lamp shade is a wire frame with fabric and trim glued on it.  I’m thinking you could easily customize the fabric and trim if you had another color combination in mind.

The base is a combination of metal and a large bead.

I love the ornate details of the base!

Customize

Next up are the customized pumpkins.  They are sparkly and shiny and colorful!

I started with realistic looking mini pumpkins and painted them each a trendy halloween color.  After the paint was dry I painted on glue and sprinkled them each with a matching glitter.

 Create

I came across this 3D frame that is actually a Halloween scrapbook sticker by Jolee’s Boutique.  There are 4 different frames in the pack and I went with this little witch on a broom.  In order to display the frame I made a stand for it.  It is a spooky halloween stand.

It is made entirely of pieces of Halloween rings.

  • 2 bats on the bottom
  • 2 spiders with only 2 legs left attached
  • a bat for the back

Last but not least-

  • half a bat to make it into a stand

I spray painted it black and then silver.  Regular craft paint would work as well.  I’ve been painting halloween rings with black and then rubbing on silver for a number of Halloween projects this month and it has worked great.

Keep in mind this little stand can display any Halloween art or signs you make or have on hand!

Don’t you love how the spider legs hold the artwork nicely in place!  Too Spooky!

With a combination of crafting and fun finds it came together nicely!

Now the dollhouse has just a touch of spooky fun!
