I thought it would be fun to share the Banded Dolman Shirt pattern sewn up into a variety of fabrics. I love how different fabrics can give the same pattern a different look and feel! If you haven’t tried it yet, the pattern is available for free here!
I have one of those varieties today but I couldn’t just show off the new shirt. I had to set the pictures in a photo story sequence. Nothin’ big, just a fun way to show you this little shirt in action!
What do you think of Ivy’s look? Are you digging the polka dots and dressier style?
If you haven’t downloaded the Dolman Shirt Pattern, get it here! If you’ve sewn the dolman shirt I would LOVE to see it and add it to the readers gallery. Check out the gallery, you’ll find it at the very bottom of the page, here.
Here’s the scoop on today’s post!
- Doll-Ivy is a retired American Girl Historical character.
- Outfit-Banded Dolman Shirt pattern is here. Skirt is from Grace’s meet outfit here. Scarf tutorial is here. Bag tutorial is here. Boots are from Rebecca’s School Outfit here.
- Scene-Dresser is a vintage jewry box from a second hand store. Tea set is a yard sale find.

I love your scene and I just had to post that I think I have the same fabric in my “stash”. This looks adorable on Ivy.
