DIY: Doll Scenes for Christmas, or Birthdays, or Just For Fun!

I first started putting together themed sets for my daughter a few years ago.  There was not a lot on the market and we wanted accessories to build play and imagination around.  I soon found out there are doll sized things everywhere if you keep an eye out for them!

To get started find an inspiration.  This is the fun part!

Remember the doll sized campfire here?  It is the inspiration for this doll sized outdoors theme.  Now keep a look out for accessories that will go with your theme. The lantern is a plastic christmas ornament.  This time of year is a great time to plan on checking out the ornament aisle for doll size fun!

Next think about what might add to the scenery.  These mini trees from the thrift store were just what we needed!

Now for something for the dolls to sit on.  I put together a simple rustic bench that you might find next to a campfire in the woods!

Make, or buy outfits that go with your theme.

Don’t forget the accessories!  They really make it fun! Hope this gets you thinking about doll scenes that the doll enthusiast at your house would like!  It is a fun way to personalize your collection!  Whether you make, collect or buy accessories to go with your theme!

And last but not least here are a few sets that might be fun to add to our camping/outdoorsy collection.

Thanks again for your generous compliments! I enjoy sharing and I definitely enjoy being inspired by all the ways others promote play and creating in the “doll” community. Thanks again and for all you do!
