We are on day 2 of “bite sized” doll crafts. (Here is day 1, frosted sugar cookies if you missed it.) I hope you enjoy these little crafts that belong in a doll size kitchen! Stay tuned for one more “bite sized” craft this week!————–
Let’s bake cookies!
These little cookies all lined up on a cookie sheet are ready to be popped in the oven!
In the process of making this craft I also came upon a feature to make it extra fun for play. Since our “cookie sheet” is metal I added magnets to the back of the cookies. That way they don’t slide off the cookie sheet on the way in the oven!
This craft is part of a set I made for my daughter’s birthday. Today we peeked inside the oven and I will be showing more about how I made the oven later!
It’s time to craft!
Cookies on a Cookie Sheet
Supplies:
- wood, paper, or cardboard cutouts
- canning lid or cardboard and silver paper
- silver paint
- paint brush
- glue
- magnets
Cookie Sheet
For our cookie sheet I am using a canning lid painted silver to cover up the lettering on it. The canning lid is a good size and shape for a round cookie sheet. The metal lid also has a cool purpose that I will show more details for in a minute.
Paint the lid silver and allow it to dry completely. This is important to make sure it is completely dry so you don’t ruin the surface of the cookie sheet when we add the cookies.
If you don’t have a canning lid to use as a cookie sheet you can also use cardboard covered in silver paper, foil or painted silver. If you make it this way you can make your cookie sheet a rectangle or a circle.
It’s Time to Bake!
Since we are loading up this cookie sheet to put in the oven we don’t want any cookies falling off on the way to the oven. There are two ways to keep the cookies in place. One option is to glue them directly to the cookie sheet
The other option is to glue a thin strip magnet to the back of the “cookie”. The magnet is awesome because the cookies easily come off and go back on the cookie sheet. That makes for a fun play element.
We are all about the play around here so we are having fun with our magnet cookies!
See you tomorrow for one more small “bite sized” craft for the doll kitchen!

How cute! Did you make the oven? I have been looking for a good oven tutorial.

I made the oven for my daughter’s birthday. It was a repurpose project and I’m thinking about making a version that could be shared in a tutorial. Thanks for letting me know you are interested. It helps me sort out what project comes next!
