We have a few little gumball machines that are a perfect size for dolls.  We always have struggled with where to put that cute little gumball machine.  Recently I tried it on a candle holder from the thrift store.  Ta-da, a gumball machine stand!

Here’s a closer look at the stand.  If you would like to keep an eye out for a candle holder to transform into a stand, mine stands almost 6″ tall and 2 1/2″ wide at the top.  My machine is 5″ tall and 2 1/2″ at the base.  You definitely could go a little taller or shorter depending on the size of your gumball machine!

I used a large canning lid to make a flat surface.

Then I set the machine right on top.  You could use a strong glue such as E6000 to keep all the layers together.

Since I can’t decided which machine to glue to the top I think I’ll hold off on the glue and switch machines when we want a different color or style.

Now our gumball machine is slim and tall and can stand in any scene for play!

I love, love, love, finding a new use for something!
