Before we get too far into the new year let’s take a look at a fun collection of projects from 2015!
These projects are inspired by Grace Thomas.
Grace is the Girl of the Year 2015, a special edition doll from American Girl. Whether you have this doll and her books or not this is a fun list because most of the crafts are themed for a bakery, kitchen, or cooking, with a few other stylish projects.
My daughter and I have a few favorite crafts from this list that we played with all year long! I hope you will enjoy these popular projects from 2015!
These projects are all from here, Doll It Up or Doll Diaries, where I share a weekly project.
Sew up an oven mitt, hot pad and kitchen towel with the step by step tutorial. Each is a quick project with fun details!
Make these sweet sprinkled cookies that are perfect for play.
Sculpey clay (a bakeable clay) is the secret behind these easy vibrant little tarts.
Set the table with fun plates. You can make them in different colors and patterns for every occasion.
Make this set of kitchen canisters out of empty spools of thread.
Mix and serve in the doll kitchen with a set of spoons and spatulas made from paper straws or rolled up paper.
We love this little table and have found so many use for it. It is fashionable and fun and made from repurposed items and I’ll show you how!
Pots and Pans
With a few items from around the house, you can make this easy set of pots and pans.
The cookie sheet and the frosted cookies saw the most play this year. The magnets on the back of the cookies really added to the play value.
With all these fun crafts it’s time to see the sets in action as Grace runs a little bakery!
Goodies and accessories are for sell at the Sweet Treats Stand. It’s more inspiration for play with the items we crafted and a fun story to go with it.
Decorate with this bulletin board inspired by Grace.
Grace visits Paris France. This sparkly Eiffel Tower is inspired by her travels and makes a fun doll size decoration!
Grace wears stylish ankle boots with her meet outfit. You can up-cycle a pair of doll boots for the same look!
I hope you will enjoy this collection of fun projects. They were sprinkled throughout 2015 and it’s great to have them all in one place. Fun for those of you who love Grace and fun for those of you looking for fun bakery crafts!
Enjoy!
