Whoa, is another summer of Camp Doll Diaries coming to an end??!!! This is the third summer I’ve participated as a counselor, posting a weekly doll craft/photo story/tutorial.
If you are new to Camp Doll Diaries it’s doll crafts, play inspiration and fun all summer long. You follow along online and participate when you can! There’s a weekly theme and daily inspiration to get you crafting and playing with dolls!
I love the creativity that comes together with the weekly theme, that’s what I’ll miss most about Camp Doll Diaries! 🙁
What a great summer it was and now there are about 12 weeks of projects that we have been inspired by, projects we missed, and projects we still want to try. I decided to look back over the summer and highlight some of my favorites! I kept the list small, just 10! Well, it was supposed to be just 10, but I slipped in a few more, so let say it’s 10 plus a few! HA! 🙂 Honestly, this was hard because there are soooooo many fun, adorable, cute, amazing, inspiring projects. Let’s just say this list is just a taste of the summer! Yep, this list just scratches the surface, so if you want to browse through upwards of 80 projects, full of more fun, hop on over to Doll Diaries and see for yourself!
Let’s take a look!
No-Sew Bandana Dress
Love, love, love Karen’s dress! Can I say more? What a genius way to use a bandana and you’re only a simple wrap away from a cute no-sew dress!
Cookie Care Package
Oooo, it’s been so long since I’ve thought of a care package. Probably because mailing things is just not part of our everyday lives as it once was! (Yep, that dates me! HA!) Well, let’s get back to it because there’s nothing like getting something in the mail, thoughtfully put together, from someone you love! Brandy’s cookie care package hits the spot!
Fringe Scarf
Making this fashionable scarf couldn’t be easier! I made this one out of my sons old t-shirt and I share the measurements so you can make one too!
Doll Gym
Fit is hip and Brandy has a gym for your dolls that’s going to make you want to join them for their work out! Detail alert! Check out every one of her photos because Brandy takes this project to a real gym and her daughters get real training on how to stay fit! Amazing!
McKenna Visits the Orcas
Laura’s fish tank turned Aquarium is so fun for play! Today it houses adorable felt orcas, that she made, I might add! There’s no water involved but plenty of fun at the aquarium!
Caeser Costume
Character costumes for dolls are just fun! The boy dolls aren’t left out this time because Karen shares an easy Caesar costume that looks very stoic!
Bunk Trunk
This trunk is dear to my heart because it is a re-purpose project, aka my favorite kind of project! Char thought of a way to transform something from your kitchen cupboards into something fantastic for dolls!
French Bakery Desserts
Mmm, are you drooling yet? It’s hard to believe these are mini treats for play and not real! Grace shows you how to make these fantastic desserts step-by-step.
Sea Shell Necklace
Accent a mini shell with gold and make it into a lovely necklace for dolls! I got carried away making these for our dolls, then for my daughter and then for a top secret project for Christmas. Promise I’ll share, when it’s all done, but for now make this doll size one!
Printables for Doll Play
If you like a fun printable to get you started on a doll project Laura Kelly has one for you! Each features a different theme and always adorable artwork, that is Laura Kelly’s signature fun! Try Safari Fun or click on the link here to find many, many more!
Button Bracelet
Accessorize, Accessorize! Dig through your button box, pick out a fun combination and make these cute bracelets for your dolls! You know, as I’m writing this, I’m thinking this might be a great afternoon project for my 3 year old daughter and I. She would loooove to pick out the buttons and with a little help we could string on the buttons together. Well anyways, Char shows you how to make this fun project, it’s great for any age! 😉
Pet Cowboy Hats
Seriously adorable! Pets need love too and the Doll Mag has you covered! These little cowboy hats look easy to make and they are fabulous on the pets!
Do you want more? I know I do!
Check out more fun from Camp Doll Diaries 2015 here. There are seriously 80+ projects from this summer alone to inspire you to get creating and get playing! A special thanks to Char, the owner of Doll Diaries, who does a phenomenal job organizing and running Camp Doll Diaries and for all the wonderful participation from doll fans worldwide! I am very sad that summer is over 🙁 I didn’t get to do many of the crafts, I am going to go back and do the ones that use clay once I get clay

I’m missing summer already too! It went far too fast! Yes, keep tabs on what projects you want to do still and you can save the ideas for later!
